How is it my vacation coincides with the worst allergies I've ever had? I want to relish each day. Arise early ready to take on the world and make each day off seem like its 40 hours long. Instead, I'm a watery-eyed, red-nosed, histamine-overloaded mouth breather with little will to do much more than nap.

yikes

Is it facing reality or just acknowledging your age when you realize your last two purchases on-line were for a blood pressure cuff and a pedometer . . .

I need to take a more recent picture of the bird. Maybe that will inspire me to finish it.

This weekend - it's another avoidance weekend. My sister was killed in a car accident on her way to a superbowl party 10 years ago. I haven't watched it since or driven down the road they were on. So, this weekend was one of psychically looking the other way while life went on behind me.

Yesterday consisted of sleeping in, puttering, a nap, another nap, getting a call from someone who wanted help with her laptop, redoing the wireless network so I could help her when she got here, and to bed after. Today was getting up, going to breakfast, coming home and taking a nap and then playing computer games. Or, rather, the first hour of downloaded hidden object/puzzle games (free!).

Things should be back to the regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.

Organization

Well, using TeauxDeaux has kept me working on projects. On paper lists, I tend to fill the page and then think . . . and then after lunch I'll cure cancer and finish up that perpetual motion machine in the garage. The next day when I look at the list I figure it's an impossible list. Why bother? I find I'm making smaller lists and am fine with moving something to a different day if I can't get to it. This weekend I'm tackling something on my long term list - to be determined by the weather.

It's also the 10th anniversary of my sister's death and it will be good to have projects to keep busy.

I've followed Melusina's advice and looked at the software she suggested. I chose to work with TeauDeau (pretentious spelling, but good software). For four days I've managed to clear everything off the list. That may be my personal record.

Since one of my tasks every night is sleep, I'm headed off to see if I can conquer that as well.
